Cooking for a Cause is a unique and powerful way to bring corporate teams together for an interactive team-building cooking workshop while giving back to the community. This format involves guests working together to create delicious meals; some to be enjoyed by you and your guests during your event, and some to be donated to Teen Feed and/or Roots Young Adult Shelter that provide emergency food and shelter to homeless youth 365 days a year.
You’ll make approachable one-dish meals to be donated to one of the charities above - or the charity of your choice. Blue Ribbon will package, coordinate and deliver your donations with (or without) your company’s name attached.
You may choose to do this format as a competitive Iron Chef format or as a Collaborative effort. With the Iron Chef version, guests go head-to-head in a high-energy competition, guided by chef instructors. Each team is designated a protein and creates a donation meal as well as a meal to be shared on the group’s buffet. The Collaborative version has all guests working together, elbow-to-elbow, led by chef instructors, to create pre-determined one-dish meals to be donated. You’ll dine on a delicious pre-determined seasonal menu catered and served by our chefs.
Whether you compete or collaborate, one thing is assured. At the end of your efforts, you’ll be sitting at our lakeside tables to relax and enjoy a scrumptious meal while you bask in your sense of accomplishment and goodwill.
