Logistics
The Classic Iron Chef is one of Blue Ribbon’s most popular formats. During the 90 minutes of hands-on cooking time, each group, with the help of a professional chef, conceives of and executes a complete meal consisting of protein, side dishes, and a dessert. The chef will assist teams as much or as little as they would like. Different ingredients for each group’s protein component are assigned and sample recipes utilizing those ingredients are provided.
Each team’s creations are served buffet style creating a breathtaking presentation. This is a perfect format if you are trying to please many different palates. Judging takes place behind the scenes (by chefs that are not working with your event) and the winning team is announced during dessert. Which team will reign supreme?
